PROJECT HAyLE FARM

As one of Britains leading fruit growers, Hayle Farm uses extremely high amounts of energy to keep its cold storage units at their optimum temperature. With the ever increasing cost of energy and the constant pressure to keep fruit prices competitive, Hayle Farm turned to SAS ENERGY to look at ways of mitigating these costs and pressures whilst improving its green credentials. Taking advantage of our award winning finance option, RIOS, a 120kW solar PV system was installed to help reduce Hayle Farms daytime energy consumption by 2/3rd, saving in excess of 260 tonnes CO2 per annum.
